The name “Pululahua” is a Quechua word meaning “cloud of water” or fog. This name is a good description of this caldera since almost every day in the afternoon, the volcano is covered with mist. The volcanoe is considered a Geobotanical reserve where many species of animals live such as the famous masked bear (oso de anteojos).
One of cafe Mosaico’s favorite place to visit is Volcan Pululahua. Enjoy the ride 45 minutes down the volcano to finally discover the most amazing treasure hidden inside this crater.
